Graduated from the Faculty of History at University of Sofia “Saint Kliment Ohridski”, PhD at the University of Strasbourg Marc Bloch (L’habitat en Bulgarie byzantine fin Xe-fin XIIe siècle: l’apport de l’archéologie) with specialisation in mediaeval history and archaeology. Main interests in the field of the Mediaeval Bulgarian and Byzantine settlements and landscapes, mediaeval sculpture and architecture, visual arts.
