Graduated from the Department of Architecture in Istanbul Technical University, completed M.Sc. and PhD at the Architecture History Program of the same university. Her interests lie in the fields of Byzantine settlements and architecture, early and classical Ottoman architecture, reuse of Byzantine building stock, history of museums and Ottoman museology.
