Studied archaeology at University of Sofia, where she received a master and PhD degree. Took part in excavations at many sites (Thrace, Eastern Rhodope area, Struma valley, etc). Before joining the NAIM-BAS as a curator at the Exhibition department, she worked as an archaeologist at RHM of Kyustendil (Pautalia - Velbujd - Kyustendil archeological reserve). Interested in the fields of the transitional period between the Late Antiquity and Middle Ages; cultural interactions; material culture and problems of chronology.
