Bilici studied History at Middle East Technical University. Then she received her Master's degree in History of Art at Hacettepe University. Currently, she is continuing her Ph.D. in Archeology and History of Art at Koç University. Her research interests are the Late Byzantine monumental painting, cultural interaction between Byzantium and the West, the Balkans, Morea, and Mystras.
